Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 19, 2026

AI4Seniors ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses our service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using ai4seniors.info, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to two groups:

  • Senior Users — individuals who use the free AI4Seniors question-and-answer service
  • Business Sponsors — companies that subscribe to be featured on the platform

Different sections may apply depending on which group you fall into.

2. Information We Collect

From Senior Users

When you use AI4Seniors, we may collect:

  • Questions you ask the AI — used to generate your answer and improve our service
  • Basic usage data — date and time of visit, general type of question asked
  • Device and browser information — automatically collected to help the website work properly (browser type, operating system, approximate location based on IP address)

We do not require you to create an account. We do not ask for your name, address, Social Security number, financial information, or health insurance details. We do not collect Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA.

From Business Sponsors

When you sign up as a sponsor, we collect:

  • Business name, contact name, email address, phone number
  • Billing address and payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers on our servers)
  • Signed sponsor agreement and related correspondence

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide answers to questions seniors ask
  • Match relevant sponsor messages to question categories
  • Process sponsor subscription payments and send invoices
  • Improve the quality and accuracy of the AI service
  • Communicate with sponsors about their accounts
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties. We do not share questions asked by individual users with sponsors.

4. AI Processing

Questions asked through AI4Seniors are processed by third-party AI services (including Anthropic's Claude AI) to generate answers. These services may temporarily process the text of your question to produce a response. We choose AI providers with strong privacy commitments and data protection practices.

We do not include identifying information (such as IP address or any account data) when sending questions to AI providers.

5. Cookies and Tracking

AI4Seniors uses minimal cookies — only those necessary for the website to function. We may use basic analytics tools to understand overall site usage (such as how many people visit each page), but we do not use advertising trackers or behavioral profiling.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work without them.

6. Sponsor Messages

When a sponsor's message appears alongside an AI answer, this is a paid placement — not a recommendation. Sponsors are matched to general question categories (for example, a medication question may show a healthcare sponsor), but sponsors do not see the specific question you asked, and we do not share your data with them.

If you click a sponsor's "Learn More" button, you will be taken to that sponsor's own website, and their privacy policy will apply.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure hosting (Vercel), and reputable payment processing (Stripe). However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

  • Questions and usage data — retained for up to 12 months for service improvement, then anonymized or deleted
  • Sponsor account data — retained for the duration of the sponsor relationship plus 7 years for tax and legal purposes

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Opt out of certain data uses

To exercise any of these rights, email jim@ai4seniors.info.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information.

European/UK Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. The legal basis for our processing is legitimate interest (providing the AI service) and contract (for sponsors).

10. Children's Privacy

AI4Seniors is designed for adults aged 65 and over and is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn we have collected information from a child, we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice on the website.
