Terms of Service

Welcome to AI4Seniors. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AI4Seniors website and services located at ai4seniors.info (the "Service"), operated by AI4Seniors ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who Can Use AI4Seniors

The Service is intended primarily for adults aged 65 and over. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. The Service is not directed at children.

2. The Service

AI4Seniors provides an artificial intelligence (AI) powered question-and-answer service designed for seniors. Users can ask questions on a wide range of topics and receive AI-generated responses. The Service is free for end users.

The Service is supported by business sponsors who pay a subscription fee to be featured on the platform. Sponsor messages may appear alongside AI-generated answers. Sponsorship does not constitute endorsement by AI4Seniors of the sponsor's products or services.

3. Not Professional Advice

AI4Seniors provides general informational responses only. The Service is not a substitute for professional advice, including but not limited to:

  • Medical advice — Always consult a licensed physician, pharmacist, or qualified healthcare provider for medical questions, diagnoses, treatments, or medication concerns
  • Legal advice — Always consult a licensed attorney for legal questions
  • Financial advice — Always consult a licensed financial advisor, accountant, or tax professional for financial decisions
  • Mental health advice — If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact a licensed professional or call 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) in the United States

Never make important decisions based solely on information provided by AI4Seniors. Always verify information with qualified professionals.

4. AI Limitations

You understand and accept that:

  • AI responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information
  • The AI may occasionally generate responses that sound confident but are incorrect ("hallucinations")
  • AI responses are not reviewed by a human before being shown to you
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any answer

5. Sponsor Messages

When sponsor messages appear with answers, they are paid placements. Clicking on a sponsor's link will take you to that sponsor's own website. AI4Seniors is not responsible for the content, products, services, or practices of any sponsor.

We do our best to vet sponsors before accepting them, but we make no warranties regarding any sponsor or their offerings. If you choose to engage with a sponsor, you do so at your own discretion.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe on the rights of others. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm any person
  • Submit content that is illegal, fraudulent, or violates the rights of others
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or hack the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or extract content from the Service
  • Use the Service to generate content that violates applicable laws

7. Sponsor Terms

If you are a business sponsor, your relationship with AI4Seniors is also governed by a separate written Sponsor Agreement signed at the time of sign-up. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Sponsor Agreement, the Sponsor Agreement controls.

Sponsor subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. Cancellation and refund terms are set out in the Sponsor Agreement.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the AI4Seniors website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by AI4Seniors or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

AI-generated answers are provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand how we collect and use information.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI RESPONSES WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AI4SENIORS AND ITS FOUNDERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (US$100), OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS IF GREATER.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AI4Seniors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice on the website. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of New Mexico in which AI4Seniors is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
